Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri was an Indian actress who achieved fame for her role in the film Hum Aapke Hin Koun and Beta Saajan. The actress was initially famous for the role she played in the 1980s film Tezaab, in which she co-starred with an established actor Anil Koopor. She next appeared in the film Dil In which she was on screen alongside Aamir Khan. Her birthplace was in a Mumbai middle class family and began to dance when she was a child. When she was still in high school, she attempted acting, however most films she attempted to make were unsuccessful. She found fame and became one of the top movie actresses. After her marriage was over, she took a few months away from performing until she returned. Recently, she had an integral character in the film Gulaab Gang which was about the struggles of women living in India. Dixit received fifteen Filmfare Awards nominations, of which, eight were awarded. Padma Shri - the fourth highest civilian honor in India awarded to Dixit. Her social work is also popular.
