Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. After moving to Oxfordshire when she was five, Emma attended The Dragon School. Emma was only six when she made the decision to pursue a career as an actress. She studied for a number of years at Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a full-time school of theatre in Oxford in which she learned acting as well as singing. At the age of 10, she had already taken part in many Stagecoach plays and productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) was the movie adaptation to J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was first cast for first time at the beginning of 1999. Emma was discovered by Emma's Oxford Theatre teacher. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint following auditions for 8 times. They were chosen to play three leads Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. Emma's debut film came with the release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2002). It was also the film that was most popular of 2001. The opening days and weekends of ticket sales were record-breaking. The film was praised by critics and the performances of the three leading young actors. The Daily Telegraph praised Emma for her excellent performance. Emma was awarded five nominations for her impressive performance. Later, she won the Young Artist Award in Leading Young Actresses of a Film.
