She grew up listening mostly to classical music, old boleros as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is passionate about opera and tangos, and any dramatic performance. She was taught by her mother to sing. However, she started intensive vocal training by Flavio Belcerra at 16 when the singer was famous as a Mexican opera Tenor. In Guadalajara, she attended the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca in The School of Sacred Music. The singer performed throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a musician and student. After relocating in California in United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present residence in the southern part of California. She is currently performing classic Latin American songs at private concerts as a singer. She has been involved with a number of local organizations in both teaching as well as a performer due to her enthusiasm of music and art. Ana was also a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as and members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana hopes, by sharing her knowledge her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she will inspire a love, especially for the young generation, for keeping this music vibrant.
